Bitácora 2.0

Debido a una pérdida de información, he decidido publicar los blogs que hago en Mnemotechnics.org aquí también, como preventivo a una próxima pérdida de información. He aquí el texo.

For some reason my blog entries accounting my mnemotechnical journey have been deleted or lost. It doesn't matter. The past few months, maybe since last year, I've been using mnemonics at an almost unconscious level. I use them instantly, make correlations with the data and the images I have in my head. Previously, in my other blog entries, I accounted my journey in my understanding of mnemotechnics and the development of my own loci. I explained my Artificial Memory Palace (AMP for short), which is made of lots of different videogame maps I played in my childhood. These maps are easy to access, for it was an unique childhood experience (how can anybody forget the Super Mario 64 game map?). Another type of map was my Learning Temple (LT for short), which was a totally artificial map made up in my mind, using some arquitectural ideas. And I quote:
The Learning Temple (LT for short) is a self-generating and artificially-made memory palace in which a person can store information for classes or courses and ace exams. It resembles a roman coliseum. Every bench/step is a room filled with columns and persons. There’s an allegorical statue in front of the row of benches/steps that symbolizes the name of the course. Every semester has a specific number of allegorical statues (5 courses = 5 allegorical statues). Every room has a different color and theme to make them homey and can be filled using the Roman Room Method mixed with Benavente’s memory palace.
For remembering digits, during my journey I encountered that I wasn't that good with the Major System or with SEM^3 (specially the last one, I had a hard time grasping it and I couldn't work with it, I needed loci). Nevertheless, I memorize numbers with the Dominic System and use Octaveslur's PAOT system (with some modifications) and can now I can memorize 10-11 digits per loci. I've come to realize that it isn't practical for people who want to become Grandmaster of Memory (in which case it would be better to master the Major System or the Ben System). So there. I recounted my journey of my previous blog entries that have been lost. I didn't have time for practicing blindfolded cubing (and still don't have, althought I wish I could start practicing it). I can still solve any Rubik's cube with NxNxN number of layers and also can still solve the Megaminx. Now that I'll start my master's degree while I work playing in bars with a rock band, I would like to account this next mnemotechnical journey.
